In line with GRF’S three pronged strategy to involve the students, teachers and the parents ,we organised a meeting for all the parents of Class V and Class VI students to give them orientation about the Assisted Learning Program on November 5th , 2015. More than100 Mothers of the students participated in the “Parents Meet”. Parents feedback towards the ALP program was positive and they all agreed that this will enable their children to gain interest towards the language and develop their English fluency as they grow up.
As part of Training of Trainers program, 32 students of D.EL.ED students of St. Christopher’s college underwent 40hours “Basic communication skill training program from Oct 5th, 2015 to 0ct 20th,2015 .The training was facilitated by STRIDES consultancy, Chennai. The students were taught and made to practice English as a skill .All four skills of the language namely listening, reading, writing, speaking skills were focused intensively. This training enhanced the students self confidence and their ability to communicate and teach in English.
